Joined by his family and fellow Rotarians, Springwood resident Cliff Grasmick was honored Thursday evening for 60 years of membership in Lakewood Rotary. Cliff joined Lakewood Rotary in 1955 and has maintained perfect attendance for 60 years! During his tenure, Cliff held every office in the club, including President in 1974 and in 1975 saw the chartering of the Rotary Club of Wheat Ridge, where they knew him well.

In 1952, the VA Aid and Attendance Program was established to benefit qualified veterans and spouses with an underutilized tax-free pension that contributes to the cost of assisted living expenses.

If you look at it demographically, we are living longer than ever. During the last century, in places with the longest life expectancies, the average lifespan has grown by more than two years every decade. That’s about six hours a day according to a Duke University demographer. And as we live longer, more of us will face difficult conversations with aging parents about elder care. In so doing, reflect on what it will be like when you inevitably reach that same place.

Pharmacogenetics (PGx), testing is a simple swab test performed on a person by his/her physician. This test will inform the physician what drugs can and cannot be taken by the patient. In addition, it also tells the physician which multiple drugs can and cannot be mixed for the patient. This test will increase the safety and efficacy of prescription drug therapy.
