Angela Hogan, Executive Director

Angela comes to Springwood with more than a dozen years in senior living and an additional decade working in the loan business. Within her close-knit family, she was particularly attached to her grandparents while growing up in California. Angela is closing in on becoming a Colorado native, having lived in our state since 1994.

“Every family is different. I strive to truly listen to residents and their families and find the right solutions for their particular circumstances,” Angela said.

While not at Springwood, Angela can be found on the range with her husband, a cattle rancher, and hiking with their Bernese Mountain dog.

Michelle Brice Sprenger, Nightingale Suites Assisted Living Administrator

Suites director since 2021, it’s easy to see that Michelle loves working with seniors. Her upbeat, always-willing-to-help attitude brings a lightness to everyday life at Springwood. She delivers an international flair to her interactions with our residents and staff having lived in 18 different countries on three continents. A native of Nice, France, Michelle made Colorado her home in 2010.

Michelle’s LPN career spans jobs as a pharmacy tech, a nurse in a fast-paced ER and a wellness nurse within a retirement community. “Springwood has been a joyful experience for me. I love hearing the life stories of our residents, and they are so patient and understanding,” she said.

Michelle and her husband have raised four children. They enjoy cooking, playing tennis and, of course, international travel!

Kasey Dutton, Fountains Manager

A self-described clown, Kasey believes there is no better medicine than laughter. He likes all schools of thought as long as they are positive, and labels himself a hopeful, half-full kind of guy.

He enjoys working at Springwood because he believes the residents represent one of the greatest American generations.

Kasey was born in Arizona, and lived in Georgia and Washington before moving to Colorado in 2018. Married to Charlie, the couple’s grown children include Tyler, Joshua, Dustin and Wyatt who live in Florida, Arizona, North Carolina and Colorado. In his free time, Kasey is an artist, dabbling in digital painting and sculpting.

Chris Jaramillo, Culinary Director & Chef

Chris attended courses at the Art Institute of Colorado culinary program, and trained for 12 years with his mentor and former Culinary Director, Fred Batchelor.

Since he started with Springwood in 2001, Chris has taken pride in creating menus that meet and exceed the needs and wants of every resident. Through Chris, Springwood Retirement Campus has built a reputation for food excellence, and we are happy to have him with us.

Outside of work, Chris loves spending time relaxing outdoors with his beautiful wife, Stephanie, and their three children.

Maggie Schleimer, Wellness Nurse

With Springwood since 2020, Maggie prides herself on the help and open ear she provides residents. “I love hearing stories about older people’s life experiences,” she said.

Maggie realized senior care was her strength early in her career. A nurse since 1977, she has worked in hospitals, skilled nursing, rehab facilities, doctors’ offices and in home nursing.

An Iowa native, Maggie has lived in Colorado for 35 years, along with five of her siblings. She credits her good health to a love of veggies, which were cultivated in the family’s large garden. Maggie is mom to two mini dachshunds, Beanie and Roxie. Both pooches learned sign language because Roxie was born deaf. “They are my babies and such little clowns,” exclaimed Maggie.

Gabe Sanders, Front Desk Manager

Cindy Huber, Sales & Marketing Director

Cindy has worked in the healthcare field for more than 25 years, eight of those with Springwood. Within the senior living realm, she has served as a social worker, case manager and now helps older adults make the transition to community living.

“Seniors need someone on their side to guide them through the process emotionally and logistically. My experience and insight help ease the way into a retirement community,” she said.

Cindy is part of the reason why Springwood is a special place. “Springwood residents and staff genuinely care for and support one another,” she explained. “We’re a true family.”

“I love hearing about our residents’ life experiences and letting them know how valuable they are,” she said.
